My anxiety is so bad tonight that I made a spaghetti Bolognese meal for hubby and couldn't even touch a mouthful when I'd finished.
It tasted of burned oil to me but he said it was fine. I've had to resort to a bowl of cereal but even that tastes weird too and is making my lips all tingle.
Really struggling and need to eat healthy for my recovery.

HiI haven't hardly eaten all week my anxiety is through the roof. Got back on my antidepressants and they have made it worse. It's such a horrible feeling. I made a horrible dinner for my family tonight. X
Sometimes I have no appetite for days, other times I can commit murder on a gallon of ice cream if it were in the house.
It goes in cycles for me, just like my anxiety and depression, and like you, sometimes nothing tastes right, even though my husband says the food tastes fine. But it's been like this for almost two decades and we don't get too concerned.
Overall things are ok, I take my meds as prescribed, we have never figured it out, and just know it's going to happen. My husband is fortunate that he was raised in a family that owned a restaurant and knows how to cook when I have no interest in dinner.
Hopefully, your taste buds are back in order soon.
Thanks sort of reassured but sort of worried. I've always been a bit food faddy I'd say but since my hospital stay and bowel op it's sort of become a mahusive anxiety thing. I couldnt eat in hospital for vomiting and nausea and the experience was traumatic.
I'm paranoid about what I'm eating , contamination and upsetting my bowel ( which bloats up and hurts) I guess plus there's a restrictive vegan gluten free diet thats recommended which leaves a crazily small amount of things left to eat.
Pretty much anything is triggering me into a near panic at the moment. I've no idea why unless it's some post trauma reaction.
I do need to find a away to get things back under control and find normality again. Just don't know how to do it though.
Oh, you had a surgery in your gastrointestinal tract. That might make a big difference. If you haven't discussed this with your doctor, perhaps you should. This might be some time of reaction to the surgery and your body getting used to it. My best wishes to you.
