Hi guys. Worked a night shift last night, woke up feeling really unwell, seen Dr and it's just viral but my anxiety has gone through the roof. Feel like I could lose it any moment. Does anyone elses anxiety worsen when unwell?

Unwell and anxious
Yea it's normal, just try keeping calm. I know it's hard because I'm experiencing the same, though I think I'm unwell because if the anxiety I have been experiencing and because I have avoiding having to eat, which I know I shouldn't do, I've learned my lesson before but here I am struggling to have a bite to eat
I hope you feel better
Sometimes it helps to talk about it
Absolutely! Our anxious brains latch onto any minor ailment or illness and magnify the heck out of it. When I was free of anxiety and got sick, I took it in my stride. Everyone gets sick sometime or other and I knew that it would pass. Now when I get sick, I worry about it being something really serious. Try practising anxiety-reducing techniques and speaking to yourself rationally. It helps me and I hope it helps you, too. Get better soon!
Yes I feel that same way ...
Yep all the time. For me even a simple cold is never just a simple cold. Headaches are always brain issues etc etc etc. I suffer with chronic sinisitus so im forever feeling this way. I even pulled a chest muscle and im still convinced theres more wrong with me but its being missed. We just have to try and stay rational when we can, which is easier said than done
Anyway hope your feeling better now.
Take care
