A few months ago when my anxiety was at its worst, I found it very helpful to write down (or put in phone) what I was doing and/or thinking just before the anxiety and/or panic attack occured. I was amazed at how silly most of of the triggers were... mostly distorted thinking. I corrected my way of thinking and I practiced checking myself when I did it. "What are the facts?" Within a few days I was feeling a little better.

Does it still help you to write things down? I think maybe I should try writing about my anxiety in a journal
I've recently started keeping a journal. I found an online one that I can access from my PC as well as my iPhone/iPad. I am mainly doing it to keep track of when I am most often anxious but I am hoping that it will be cathartic as well.
