Hi! Try not to stress out anymore than you already are! ( I know, easier said than done)
You CAN do this. I PROMISE you will get through this. It’s really hard sometimes, trust me I would know I’ve been through all of the things you’ve mentioned. It can be really hard to deal with but you CAN. Do Not give up hope.
Something that helps me is drawing, if that’s not your thing then try to write. It doesn’t have to be a 12 page essay but make daily prompts for yourself. One that I make sure to do every day is I name 5 things that are positive in my life that have happened in the past week. It can be as small as you didn’t have an anxiety attack today. Then write why they’re positive to you.
I suffer from a panic disorder that results in me having an anxiety attack every day.
YOU CAN DO IT. YOU’VE GOT THIS. YOU’RE NOT ALONE. YOU’RE OKAY. THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Think of anxiety as a big bully telling you that you can’t do something. I’ve named my bully Jerry. Every day I tell Jerry to leave heckin leave me alone! Sometimes it works and sometimes it does but just remember that you’re okay and that you’re really not alone. ❤️
Hi errivbr4678778, I've been watching your posts and understand how frustrating and frightening these irregular beats can be. I had that at one time and it does feel as if you have to cough, feel a little faint, sometimes shortness of breath. It's hard not to believe that it isn't something bad. However, after having tests done and doctors suggesting that this is coming from anxiety, then it's time to figure out a way to work on anxiety.
So many things can reverse this feeling. One and most important is hydration. Not having enough water doesn't give you enough blood volume. The fluids you intake, the better your heart can work.
Another thing is not just reducing but eliminating any caffeinated drinks. Whether they be energy drinks, coffee, coke etc. Also know that the carbonation of those drinks will cause the bubbles in your stomach push against your heart causing the heart to skip beats.
You once stated, you were smoking a lot. Nicotine will cause your blood pressure to rise which makes the heart pump faster.
Taking breaks from your worry through meditation and deep breathing will help in reducing the heart arrhythmia. Go to YouTube, type in Audio Meditation for 5-10 minutes. These are quick relaxing videos that will reduce stress and put your mind and body at ease.
Also, mild exercise (unless your doctor states differently) can reduce or eliminate the adrenaline rushing through your body due to anxiety. It can be walking, swimming etc. Anything that moves the muscles and allows you to deep breathe.
Getting more and more anxious over the situation only makes it worse since fears builds upon fear. Knowing what causes the symptoms can sometimes help you accept that they are anxiety caused. Taking the medication that your doctor prescribed may help in reducing your anxiety as well. You'll be ok errivbr. You're not alone in feeling like this.
Also when you get heart flutters just remember to keep breathing and that you’re going to be okay. I repeat that in my head and it helps also.
Hi, feeling faint and having shortness of breath is from the anxiety for sure. I had this in March and I know you really get scared as I did, who wouldn't? But I want to ask you if you concentrate a lot on how your heart feels and beats cause if you do you've become obsessed with it which must be so exhausting at this point. I started taking paxil 10 mg and I am starting to feel better and relaxed. I was becoming agoraphobic cause of feeling so anxious all the time. I forgot how being relaxed even felt like. Believe me it will help you. Ask your Dr for it and also have chamomile tea with honey. Drink a lot of water, It helps a lot too. The paxil starts to work after 3 weeks but at 6 weeks when you feel much better. I know you must feel like you're in a hole that you can't get out of, that's how I felt too! And yes FUCK this thing called anxiety!!!
