I'm freaking out and have many symptoms including numbness in fingers and toes. I also get pins and needles. Also back pain and chest pain. I lost weight unexpectedly last year like a stone quick quickly without dieting. My skin burns also, I had emg and nerve conduction studies. Neurologistsaid oh I think its stress your large nerves are fine, but if you want to check for small fiber nerve damage you need a muscle biopsy. My family think I'm crazy because of all the normal test results. But if they lived with my symptoms they would want a diagnosis. Anyone have any advice for me? Anyone in a similar position?

Stress or serious illness?
I've felt that before. I thought I was going to die. I was so scared lol but now I know I am ok. I didn't have a bunch of tests done but I talked to my doctor. He said it was due to stress. I started working out, eating better and have been off medication for anxiety since december. Oh and due to work I also have been going to physical therapy since I would get numbness on my fingers and I have been doing a lot of stretches and they seem to help also. Try to google some calming stretches or go for a walk. Do not focus on the pain. I am christian so for me, I just pray about it and leave it up to God and just go about my day as normal. Some days it does overwhelm me but usually I am able to get it under control. The less you focus on it the less you will feel. Just go for a walk or do something you enjoy (I like to color, that is relaxing also lol) and once you ignore it it goes away and you will feel better. But if you are really concerned talk to your doctor. It never hurts to be safe and get checked. Hope you feel better.
Thank you so much for your reply, it's just hard to believe stress and anxiety can cause physical symptoms. I have had many tests my doctor thinks I'm a nutcase. I just keep thinking they missed something. But yes walking helps and distreaction is good. I do walk and I may try meditation or even acupuncture see if it helps. Thank you so much for your kind reply.
