I was just talking to a friend and saw a blue flash of light, couldn't have lasted more than a millisecond. It worries me because I see them every so often lately, usually grey but it was blue this time. I don't think it is a detached retina as it's been going on for weeks with no event so far, and I don't see eye floaters. Does anyone know if this could be anything else? I don't experience any migraines or pain when it happens and my eyes look normal.

I haven't had a blue flash but I have had white ones. Sometimes they hang around for a while, other times it's just for a moment. I found out by accident what they are a few years ago when I was looking at something else on Web MD. It's called a silent migraine. Check it out. Also, you should have your eyes checked just to be on the safe side. You don't want to take any chances with your vision. I had mine checked anyhow and everything is fine. The doctor agreed that what I have are silent migraines.
