39 y/o female and have dealt with what came on suddenly and has lasted for almost 12 months now. Always a worry wart in the past but never crazy, and never thought to carry any more stress than anyone else handles. No health history other than hypothyroid. Overweight. Out of the blue had spinning sensation and warm rush of heat over head. BP and pulse shot up of course with panic because it scared me. Has been a nonstop sense of head pressure and fogginess, wobbly headed, unfocused-almost always. Abrupt heat waves and anxiety rushes come in cycles which cause more anxiety and intense fear again. Internal tremors. Brain vibrations at night. Hyoerstimulated feeling and feel like my eyes are wide open bugged out when my head feels rushed. Most symptoms have calmed down some over the course of the 12 months, but the head pressure 24/7, headaches off and on, tender scalp, maxillary and orbit bone tenderness, ears popping sometimes, eyes feel deeply burned like I've stared at sun flares sometimes, last. If I don't sleep well, it's worse. Not a day goes by that I feel like my old self before this started. Have seen every specialist under the moon. Two MRIs, two cat scans, tons of labs. Nothing explains this so makes me look crazy. Whatever this is is definitely driving me closer to crazy though. Sick of it. Have never been a sickly person and I can hardly make it through a day sometimes. Every doc has a different diagnosis and a different med to "try". Silent migraines, anxiety disorder, perimenopause, vertigo, iron deficiency, mold toxicity urine positive, checked for Lyme with one reactive band and CDC and doc says no Lyme. I mean it goes on and on and on. Torking me off. And making anxiety worse of course. Trying to explain what came first is impossible- anxiety first? Or symptoms caused the anxiety? Every forum leads to no answers or some crazy rare disease to fear having. It's never ending. Just want to feel normal again!!

From what I've seen and read online anxiety can cause you too have very strange symptoms and most people probably won't have the same anxiety symptoms as others.... I've definitely has some weird pains that I think are from anxiety....it sounds like you have a bad case of Health anxiety which I have...
Dear Lord! We need to get together and write a book! It's frustrating because I'm bearly functioning as a husband, father of three teenagers and a 32 hour a week part time worker. Pain, odd sensations, fatigue, numbness, tingling, headaches, cognitive difficulties, visual disturbances, feeling faint/lightheadedness the list goes on and on. I currently take 10 mg of amitriptyline at night at half a milligram of clonazepam a day. Cymbalta nearly killed me, I started that at Christmas and it's been one month since I've been off of it. In the past three years I've had three neurologists tell me they can't find anything wrong with me. And the frustrating part is that's where it's always been left off. Fantastic you found nothing wrong with me but why am I feeling that way I am ! I'm truly at the end of my rope here.
Hardluck, looking back I see it's been 6 months since we last spoke. I am sorry to hear that things have not gotten better. I know as much as we want an answer that can remedy what we go through everyday, there doesn't seem to be one. It is frustrating to hear the word Anxiety pop up as much as it does and then we are sent off to deal with it on our own.
I believe that the cervical problem can cause some of the symptoms that then feed into our anxiety and it becomes hard to distinguish what came first. Your being a husband, father of 3 teens (Lord help you) plus working part time must be so draining on you mentally and physically.
Sorry to hear about your experience with Cymbalta, that certainly didn't help. So, where do you go from here? Are you in therapy at the moment? Any further plans to see your doctor? Something has to change. If this is all from anxiety then another approach needs to go into effect. If you feel it is more physical, then perhaps a different doctor. Your quality of life sounds like it is being compromised.
I wish you well. Know that you are not alone. The forum is always here to at least listen, support and understand what you are going through. Take care Hardluck....Take care!
Hi im hypothyroid too, please check your not overmedicated and please check if your brand of levothyroxine has changed recently.. i have been on this rollercoaster of anxiety and the same symptoms as year for 8 months now, i found out my pharmacy had given me another brand of levothyroxine and thats when it all started i didnt know at the time so just thought i was going crazy, anyway my thyroid levels also messed up due to the brand not suiting me, im under an endo still trying to stabalise my levels, been on numerous brands all that im having side effects with, also went overmedicated at one bit which is scary!!..
im now going to ask my endo if i can try liquid levothyroxine as its purer and not full of sh#t!!
either that or trial t3 if im lucky..
are you on the thyroid page on here too?
