I haven't been too active here lately because I've actually had some pretty good days. Until I received some blood work results in the mail. My liver enzymes are elevated which could be related to the meds that my doc had me on or some other sort of treatable infection but of course my mind jumps straight to liver disease or pancreatic cancer.
I called my GP to see if she could refer me to a gastroenterologist but of course she wants to see me first. Even though I just saw her a few months ago.
Anyway...with all this going on, my family and I also have a vacation to Mexico coming up and I'm getting super anxious about the trip. I'm sure my anxiety will be really bad the day we fly out. Trying not to think about it too much right now.

Michele_B, don't spoil your holiday to Mexico worrying about liver enzymes. A couple of years ago mine were up. 6 months later they were normal. 6 months later they were even better than normal. All sorts of things can affect liver enzymes, most aren't important. If your liver is playing up, which is highly unlikely, they caught it early and it can be remedied probably by watching what you eat and drink. So don't let the demon anxiety spoil your holiday, enjoy the moment, one way or another everything is going to be fine.
When i am anxious i worry to go into washroom also, so u r still better. sometimes ur anxiety plays all kinds of tricks which shows an increse/decrease in blood levels also. ur liver / kidney / CBC levels get affected (its temporary). so dont worry and enjoy ur holiday.
Tip: say to urself that if u r coming back alright from the trip (which u definetely will)u will believe its just the anxiety and that u dont have any health isuues.
Doing like this has a great impact on subconscious which helps with reducing anxiety long term.
Thank you! I am sure all will be fine...but its hard not to let me mind go to those places. I will just have to bring a book and focus on reading during the flight. Or headphones so I can listen to music.
