Hey guys hoping someone can relate here I get panic attacks I normally can keep them under control but sometimes there's nothing I can do about them..

Good example was tonight I had a really tight chest and shortness of breath as well as pins and needles/numbness in my legs and feet it eventually passes and I am exhausted after it and it really sucks because nothing really triggers it and it's really disrupting my personal life.

Can anyone relate here? And what methods do people use to calm themselves down

It's always nice to know you're not alone

Cheers

Hi.. my panic attack usually feels like i will suddenly die.. it feels like my heart stops, i start to be very dizzy, black before eyes, knees like from gel... cant breath and inside my body can feel like some wave going up and down.. (now i know is adrenalin) .. and it comes like from nothing.. i can have amazing day, feeling great and suddenly happens this... i still usually call ambulance, because when i am in the panic, i dont know if it is just panic attack or something worse.. in hospital they told me i have to try to breath deep and calm and try to have in mind that whatever bad it feels.. it will stop.. that every panic attack stop.. last panic attack i had 2 days ago... and i was breathing deep , tried to calm myself.. but.. of course, on the end called ambulance .. i cant give any advice as i still dont know to fight with it myself.. just to let you know.. you not alone :)

I have been dealing with this for 8 weeks and found out my iron and ferritin were extremely low, so I was diagnosed with anemia. These are all symptoms of that iron deficiency, especially in women. Not that that is everyone's issue; some people just have panic attacks. I am a naturally anxious person, so the anemia makes it 100 times worse. I pray for peace for each and every person dealing with this, as it is debilitating, especially when you have zero control of when it starts and stops. After I have one, I am weak, exhausted, and shaky for at least 24 hours after, if not more!

When I get a panic attack, or just very anxious, I start to feel very frightened. My chest sometimes tightens, I have to use the bathroom, and my throat feels all strange, like tight like I am going to cry (which sometimes I almost do). My head can hurt after awhile, and I can feel weak. My voice gives it away sometimes too. My mind is frantic and focuses on the things that are causing my anxiety, and it feels like someone is playing the violin quickly and at a high pitch. Until the stressor is no longer in existence, or I find a good way to cope, I am semi-consumed or almost entirely consumed with my anxiety.

To help myself through my anxiety, I use logical reasoning to debunk the things I am anxious about (because usually they are not super rational or logical). For example, I am anxious about my boyfriend traveling on plane right now. I have to keep reminding myself that there are thousands of flights a day that are completely fine. I will also watch TV to help, or do other enjoyable things. I also go on here and help others with their anxiety.
