trying to burp

anyone ever have trouble burping??? having a hard time trying to burp for some reason. the doctor put me on omeprazole to help with the acid relux and heart burn. since I cant burp, its making me go crazy and my neck hurt, stomach and throat burns. I just wanna burp and feel better. anyone feel the same or know what to do ?????

I'm on Nexmezol, the generic for Nexium. It's actually a good thing if you don't burp as much as I do That's why we are on those acid reflux meds.

However, if you do want to burp, I noticed that when I drink, boiling water (I leave it to cool down but I try to drink as hot as I can manage) or when I drink ice water from the fridge, I normally burp after that. Or simply just walk up and down if you are sitting. Or I lie on my left hand side and whala, I get a burp.

I have the same problem occasionally caused by my ibs/diverticulitis, i'm also on omeprazole amongst other medication, because of copd/emphysema find I have trouble breathing when it happens which can bring on an anxiety attack, the only thing that seems to help me is to take some gaviscon or a hot cup of tea (or both) and then go for a walk either around the flat or downstairs on the walkway, i'll then burp continuously for a short time which makes me feel 100% better.

I've felt this this fro close to a year. I'm in same tablets. Always gurgling/making me paranoid it's my heart. I suck air in but it just gets worse. I'm trying to move around more to make it move! Always feel like my throats tights and chest sore. I just had a thud in my chest think it swas wind moving felt awful. It is just reflux though you'll be ok
