Should I start taking propranolol? Will it take the tightness away from my throat as I am getting the choking sensation and it's horrible :-( I fall asleep for bout 5 mins then wake up with a fright like I've stopped breathing cos my throat is that dry and tight it feels like my tongue is getting stuck too. Anyone else ever felt like this?

Propanalol won't take the tightness of your throats away.. what it will do is take away your panicking reactions, Propanalol stops your adrenaline going crazy xx

Propranolol is a beta-blocker and is designed to lower your heart rate and is useful for people who have difficulty with anxiety. That aside, the tight throat and the feeling of swelling of the tongue sounds like dehydration. Before bed (after taking your propanolol) make sure you have fluids of some sort.
