Can't sleep because can't stop thinking

It's 5 am and I haven't fell asleep yet... my mind won't stop thinking and I hate it I just want to sleep and I know I'm not going to be able to function tomorrow plz help

It happens to me at times, I get out of bed for ten minutes or I read a book and it helps.

I listen to sleep hypnosis apps...they are kinda boring, but listening to what they say, keeps my mind from thinking my own thoughts. Or listen to podcasts, or documentaries, but make sure they are not too interesting..these can keep your mind off your own thoughts and then you get bored and fall asleep..
