Hello to everyone just found out about this community and Im glad it exists because I need people who understand. If anyone can relate I've been feeling lightheaded almost every minute of every day since March 27 when I had an anxiety attack and ended up in the hospital. All the tests came back negative which I'm happy about but I still feel lightheaded then tight chested then lightheaded and the circle begins. How do you cope?????

I know exactly what youre going through! I was just at the er lastnight ( one of many visits since January) with chest pain and " wooziness" as I called it. After chest X-rays, ekg and blood work...normal. The dr says the "wooziness" or lightheaded feeling is probably due to my anxiety. I have health anxieties. Even after hearing everything is fine, all day I've been like a zombie. Worried about my chest, even though it doesn't hurt and my X-rays are normal, I still worry. Same with the "wooziness". It's not even that bad but I'm focused hard on it so its ruining my day. It's like I'm trying to make myself find an issues It's hard coping. That's why I just started talking on this site today. I see a therapist Wednesday, and I've seen one in the past which seems to help. Hang in there! You're not the only one.

To add to this I think trying to manage it through exercise is a good way to go. I know it's the last thing you'll feel like doing and will be unsettling but I found swimming helpful as you are busy concentrating on your breathing which takes your mind away from anxious thoughts for a while.

How did it go?

I have had this dizziness/light headedness for sometime now and like you have had lots of tests from cardiology, ent and MRI scans. All were normal so doctors put it down to anxiety. I have started CBT and found this to be useful. The problem has not gone away but it is becoming more manageable and my symptoms are coming under control more quickly as a result.

Yes I just want to be able to manage it as well and put it under control thanks for the CBT idea.

Ok so about my dizziness. Mine is really hard to explain. It's not dizziness so much but I've been tired, groggy and a woozy feeling. It's not constant. Last Wednesday, I had a small anxiety attack at work. I work for a lawncare company and was walking for about two hours. Once I was done I felt like my heart was racing and my anxiety was pretty bad. Didn't know why. Was having a great morning. Well,I've been drinking these drinks from the gas station for about a month or two. I thought they were hot chocolate but turns out they were cappuccinos. I don't drink caffeine at all. Before I started to work I drank a 24 oz fast. Well, I'm wondering now since I stopped that day, after finding out they are cappuccinos, maybe I'm going through a caffeine withdrawal. 2 months of drinking 1 almost every day, some times two a day and then stopping .i also think the "anxiety" attack I had was just from the caffeine after I had slowed down at work . I don't know. I googled so many things today(I know , don't google stuff!) but the caffeine withdrawled sparked my interest. I also had a headache for two days before this grogginess started. I just want it to stop. Im sure my anxiety is making whatever this grogginess is even worse.

I know. That's why I cut Soda and caffeine out last year. I had no idea I was drinking cappuccinos. They had it in the dispenser that said hot chocolate. I called my brother after my "anxiety" attack at work and I told him I thought maybe that drink wasn't a hot choclate and he said that he knew it wasn't. He said he told me that the first day I had one but I don't remember him saying that. I'm really hoping that is why I feel so cruddy. When I look at the withdrawal symptoms, it totally sounds like what I'm going through. I actually have a drs appointment tomorrow for a follow up from the er. I'm hoping the dr can figure this issue if it isn't from the caffeine.
