Help in finding a good medication.

Been on 4X5 mg diazepam 20 years, obviously not doing nothing, and this sert is burning my legs knees feet etc, looking for a good med, any ideas. ??

Hi Richy21, after being on Diazepam for 20 years, it will be hard to find something that will work. Although the doctor may try an SSRI medication that will be less addicting as well as work better than a benzo. What's good for one is not for another. It's why anxiety and it's symptoms are so hard to control through meds. I wish you well and hope your therapist or doctor can find a suitable med for you. My best.

Hey agora 1, I included sertraline in my question, taking it at 150 mg, this is what is burning my legs, that's why im asking for help to choose another med, thanks.

Hey Richy, I'm on Lexapro but that's not saying it will work for you as well as it does for me. There are plenty of options out there that your doctor has to chose from. It's really a trial and error thing. According to the drug as well as dosage.

I had been on a benzo for 30 years and was weaned off that because it no longer worked and was causing more anxiety on it then off.

Hey again agora, thanks for the input, 30 years on benzos, wowzers, I do believe that they are causing more anxiety but im scared to come off from what I've read on that stupid benzo buddies website, I will be going to the doctors tomorrow, we'll see.

My brother in law is a doctor and is prescribing Valdoxin to most of his patients instead of ssris and snri etc. Ask your doc.
