Nausea hell - From Anxiety?

Last night at 10:30 i embarked on a 4 hour course of AWFUL nausea. After 2 hours I tried Zofran - but no luck. I'm thinking my nausea came from underlying anxiety about sleeping later on. I've been having very bad sleep nights.....Perhaps the nausea was "pre-panic"? Anyone else ever have this? Have a great day.

DylanD, nausea is a very common symptom of anxiety disorder, the stomach being the most 'sympathetic' organ in the body to our mental state. Have you ever tried ginger to combat nausea? In recent tests it was found to be more effective that medications for relieving nause among people undergoing chemotherapy. It's best to buy a piece of root ginger from a supermarket or wherever, then slice about a three-quarter long piece paper thin, infuse it in a mug of boiling water, wait for it to cool and then drink. Worth a try.

Don't try too hard to get yourself to sleep, the tension that causes can stop you drifting off, just rest and think pleasant thoughts and when your mind and body are ready you will drift off into refreshing slumber.
