Can't sleep feeling scared and my heart beat raising fast feel like can't breath
You are having a panic attack caused by thinking if you sleep something will happen to your heart. I used to get the exact same thing and it feels as if your throat is closing up. Just try to forget about your panic. Start to sleep with s Silent Prayer that Jesus will protect you while you are sleeping and mist of all believe that He wil. . Panic attacks cant harm you
Thank you ..... emma ... Yes my throat closing up ... hahaha same .. i can work happily and everything is good little .. some times morning also i think more... But when it comes to night.. i feel like god... some thing going to happen to me .. really i feel like i'm the one who can't sleep in this world.. i just cried yesterday
I need help.
I cannot even sleep anymore without having a huge panic attack.
I tend to overthink it or sometimes I'll just be sitting there and all of a sudden I think my heart is racing 10x as fast and I feel like I am going to die. It always wakes me up and I check my pulse to only realize it is normal and it's all in my head. I seem to sleep easier during the day than the night but I don't wanna stay up all night then sleep all day. I've tried 100's of different methods to relieve anxiety and they just don't work for me which gives me even more anxiety. I don't even know why this is happening because I've never had a fear of my own heartbeat before until a few weeks ago. It's currently 5 Am in the morning for me and I am just seeking help. Any methods you guys have? I could use ANYTHING. 😞
If you're having a really difficult time breathing you can go to the emergency room to get antianxiety medicine to calm you down. You'll get enough for a few hours or possibly for a couple of days. You need to make an appointment to see your GP asap to get more medicine for everyday. There are things you can learn to do like slowing your breathing down when you're light headed or dizzy, practicing breathing more deeply and slowly, distracting yourself with thoughts about pleasant things when they want to focus on anxious topics and so on. I have a list of resources if you want that. It's a long one. and you choose what you think will be helpful to you.
Bottom line: you don't have to live captive to this anxiety. You can be in control but you have to learn how to do that.
This helps me A LOT trying to relax enough to sleep. Hope it helps. There are a lot out there.
