Jamescrider2, we all have felt that impending doom after that first panic attack. It is a shock to our system especially having never felt that before. It leaves an impression on our mind that is hard to erase. If it could happen once than it might happen again. And once this seed is planted, the anxiety starts to grow. You are certainly not alone in feeling like this.

You will get through it James. You are stronger than you think. Find that inner strength and use that to accept this is anxiety playing it's cruel game in your mind. It's not real. It's a thought that can continue to grow unless you stop it in it's tracks. You stop it by accepting it as not harmful.

Remember no panic or anxiety attack has ever hurt you. Yes they are scary but they pass.

Once you stop worrying about them you stop feeding them energy, and then they begin to fade. Hang in there. Peace!
