Fluoxetine

I'm tempted to increase my fluoxetine dosage from one to two tablets a day. Has anyone ever had this change, if so was there any issues? Don't think I'm strong enough to deal with major side effects at the moment.

It's generally very low in side effects. Most people take 1 capsule 20mg for depression and increasing the dose may not give any corresponding improvements in effectiveness. It should always be discussed with your doctor.

I wouldn't increase your dose without the doctor agreeing to it . If you feel fluoxetine isn't working , which it didn't for me I would have a discussion to change your meds. I started on venlafaxine and I'm on the lowest dose and feel amazing and that's after only two months , no side effects apart from feeling so much calmer and happier.

I went from 10 mg to 20 mg with my psychiatrists permission and did ok... Generally when I have increased dosages with both lexapro ( in the past) and prozac ( now), I feel a bit of internal shaking... But it doesn't last long... And who knows if is from the medication change or anxiety?
