Constant head pressure
Hi Matermx, I suffered for many years with head pressure. It is wearing to say the least. I found that physical therapy helped but once the sessions were through, the pressure was back. I did biofeedback, relaxation, imagery, hypnosis, medication and talking therapy. The pressure continued. MRI didn't show anything, written up to stress. I lived with using hot compresses on my face and back of my neck. Who wouldn't find it hard to concentrate and agitated quickly. I was taught by the physical therapist to do acupressure on myself. Taking my 4 fingers immediately upon awakening and placing them behind my head on either side of my spine, caused the trapped fluid to release. When the muscles are continually so tight, our normal bodily fluids get trapped within the connective tissues. I eventually found what worked best for me and that was using meditation and deep breathing multiple times a day. I never self medicated, since that can just cause rebound pain. I went so far as using a neck collar whenever the pain was severe but was told that wasn't a good idea since it would just cause the muscles to atrophy. I was given Lidocaine (prescription) patches to place just below the hairline on the back of my neck. There were 12hour patches which helped immensely. Now, I no longer have the problem. It's gone. Hope some of these remedies help you. My best to you.
