Hypnic jerks

Hi,

Does anyone experience these? I'll be drifting off to sleep and then suddenly my whole body jerks me awake, I gasp for breath and my heart feels like it misses a beat, I also experience chest pain. Some nights I get these continuously, one after the other and end up with a sleepless night and an ache in my chest. I was wondering...are hypnic jerks heart palpitations or are they something different? x

No idea what they are but it happens to me every frekkin night like 5 times until I actually drift off :/

It happens to me in the morning. Like my body jerks and I wake up. Its not a good way to start your day.
