Scared to keep fit coz of my anxiety

Does anyone else get scared when exercising I want to get more fit but when I starte to feel my heart pounding If I am exercising or running and I starte to panic then which makes me not want to do it any help please

I don't have much to offer on the help side...sorry....but I am right there with you. I used to walk/jog 2-4 miles daily. I loved getting out there and just enjoying myself. Now I'm afraid to do anything, cause my heart starts pounding and I start to freak out! I know it isn't nothing but I also can't convince myself either (if that makes sense). I have decided that I just need to make myself get up and move. I will start off very slow and go from there.. Let me know if you want to encourage each other!!

Yeah totally the same that would be brill to give some advice to each other does your chest always hurt mine does and just under my ribs

I was exactly the same until today. I finally pushed myself and did some exercise with my mum. But then once I had done the exercise I kept waiting for the chest pains to hit in or something to happen to me!!!!!!

Yes it's the same to me but I always have the symptoms and hunk it's something bad why is anxiety so bad

I hate anxiety it's not fair. I used to love exercise and could focus on it, but now I just worry about doing it and worry after. Wish a magic wand could help us all x

I know it's horrible are you on medication for it what symptoms do you have x

Oh yes! This happens to me and I hate it! I used to love running but now I start to freak out when my heart starts beating faster and I feel lightheaded. Unfortunately I haven't found any solution except to keep doing it and just take little breaks when I feel too freaked out to continue. I got a small elliptical machine/bike combo to use at home and that has helped a bit since part of the anxiety is having to go to the gym. I really wish there was a magic solution for all of us....it does help to know we're not alone though!
