Weird Feeling

So does anyone get that funny feeling in throat /chest that feels like it's your heart playing up , but then I check my pulse and its fine . Can someone please explain exactly what this is please ? Then maybe I might not be so obsessed with checking my bloody pulse all the time .

Sound to me like a typical sign of anxiety. You might be getting palpitations, but again this might still be a symptom of anxiety. I'd recommend going to your GP and explaining how you feel. Good luck.

I have done that and they say yes anxiety but I want to know why it happens when my pulse feels fine ???

I feel exactly the same.....And I too immediately check my pulse.....Has always turned out to be fine.....

I am a constant pulse checker and don't really have any advice to offer I'm afraid I suppose the only thing I do sometimes when others around me are telling me to stop is think 'I have felt this way before and my heart kept me alive, I have to trust it'

I don't know why the feelings happen or why sometimes my pulse seems off or out of rhythm or too weak or whatever but a lot of it is that we are so sensitive to our bodies. Distraction does help but also this site helps me to feel less alone and less crazy.
