I have been having an intense hunger which turns nauseous unless I eat I was wondering if it's acid reflux from anxiety or just part of the anxious condition?

Strange hunger and nausea

Hi Pheonixjo, anxiety produces more acidity in the stomach which can turn into nausea. You feel better after eating because it calms down the acid produced as well as feeding the hunger gives you a satisfied feeling.
Yes Agora1 is right, the stomach is the organ most often affected by anxiety so try not to worry unduly about it, don't become fearful about it and eventually you will say to yourself: " Hey, I haven't felt that strange hunger and nausea for days now, it's passed!"
I'm been getting the same every morning when I wake with burning stomach, usually go bed feeling fine and fall straight sleep. It's been happening to me for ages and no meds seem to work so I'm going for tests to see if it's bacteria causing it.
Hi phoenixjo, I have had this as long as I can remember. I don't eat breakfast and always felt this way during the morning at work. I find drinking milk or milk shake helps, which might be an alternative if you don't want to take antacids. I was treated for helicobactor pylori, but still had this after treatment for it. Also keep note of what you've eaten the night before, I find I am worse with certain foods like spices or pastry.
I have those symptoms with Gerd....I get a burning/ nausea feelung in the pit of my gut and either I can eat...need to....or just can't. Omeprazole helps
I am trying nexium which has taken the nausea off a bit but I don't know if I'll get a cure ?
