I'm currently experiencing a intense hunger that doesn't really go away, I have a diagnosis of generalised anxiety disorder and I wondered if this was contributing to the hunger?

Intense hunger

It certainly could be....some people lose their appetite and others might get more hungry as you have so much adrenaline that it's using your food up lot faster and causing you to be more hungry.
But if your still worried about it can always have your dr check it out
Are you on any anti anxiety meds? Some can cause feelings of hunger, like amitriptyline, bit of a long shot but thought I'd mention it. It could be anxiety prompting the need for comfort eating. Maybe ask your doctor just in case there's a physical explanation, a blood test that's fine means anxiety defo.
I take venlafaxine for my anxiety
Maybe take a look at the information sheet that comes with venlafaxine to see if it lists hunger as a side effect.
I've been on it a while though could I still develop a side effect?
Less likely, side effects usually make themselves known early on, the question is: is increased appetite on the list of side effects that comes with the venlfluxine?
