Citalopram side effects - can anyone relate?

Hi,

I have been on citalopram 20mg for 3 weeks now and I have been feeling quite hot, I usually feel the cold more than others and I also have been having night sweats too, my vision can be a bit blurred too especially when I'm trying to focus on something to concentrate. I hope someone can help.

Yes these are all common side effects and should slowly dissipate. It takes a good 4-6 weeks before you may feel the full benefits. Just beware these side effects will happen again when you or if you come off or lower/increase the med as well. I have recently lowered my dose of lexapro from 20 to 10mg and have been having withdrawal symptoms again however I am in week 5 and things are starting to even out again. Good luck!
