My anxiety has gotten so bad that I tried a med for the first time. I got a rush of anxiety after the first hour. Later in the day it got so bad that I feel like it brought on more rumination and anxious thoughts. Then at night I got up to use the restroom and fainted on the toilet. Woke up and didnt know where I was.

I hope you've called your doctor, when I first started on Paxil I also had to take Klonopin when I felt an attack coming. After a few weeks the Paxil really started working and I didn't need the klonopin anymore

Call your doc right away and let her/him know. You may need something else; something less strong. Also, you can take some Xanax with your prescription until it kicks in as they sometimes increase anxiety. Hope you find the right meds.

I tried Xanax before and it triggered major anxiety somehow. I had only been taking it for a month and maybe took 5 pills max from that bottle. One day I woke up in an extreme panic. It triggered a psychosis in me that lasted for months. It took 6 months to withdrawal from it and a year to feel ok from that. So.... yeah. me and drugs don't mix well apparently.
