Have you ever tried melatonin?
Hello Redwoodle
I can relate. I suffer with my sleep and worry much more in the middle of the night.
I have been attending wellbeing classes and we have been given advice to try worry time. Now I am prepared to try this myself I but understand our situation is much more complex but it may help a little. They suggest pick a time in the day say after your evening meal or just before bed to sit and think about what is worrying you write it down and spend around twenty mins doing so afterwards just go bk to your usual routine!! Like I say sounds easier said then done we were all saying this can't work but we have been told it will take a long time to kick in and you must be persistent. One thing I have learnt there is simply no quick fix that will work long term.
It's difficult and I truly hope things will get better for you.
Take Care.

The only thing that really works to remedy this is CBT as it re-trains your brain on how to think. It does work but takes practice and time. I have the same problem. Add soon as my eyes, my mind starts ticking.
I feel for you, I get the nasty demons also at nights, not every night, but horrible when it happens, especially when you are alone.
Take care.
This is pretty common for a lot of folks, anxiety sufferers, and OCD thought folks are not alone. Youtube has become my night time baby sitter. I listen to lectures or anyone talking. Music, for me, does not let me stop thinking, fretting etc. Old time radio shows, Abraham Hicks, Morty Lefko, TED talks, old Nightengale - Conant recordings work....off to sleep ya go..
