I've been asked so many times by my mom if I want to see a doctor about getting prescribed anything for my anxiety / overobsessive negative thoughts.
My initial ideals about this is that I don't want to rely on medication to help me feel better, even if it helps i feel as if I'd rather conquer it myself.

Taking medication is just another tool to assist with recovery, it can give people a little added strength while they overcome their symptoms, and not all are addictive
Just explain this concern to your doctor, taking medication doesn't have to cause problems or hinder recovery, infact it often just lifts your mood enough for you to concentrate on recovery better, its like a crutch, not permanent but rather just added support to allow time for healing
Hi hun i was the same for a long time but now i have been on floxiteen 20mg for over two weeks and I'm so glad I did , they have helped me on my way thih recovery xx

It'd a common fear but as my doctor put it, it doesn't have to be permanent, they are a tool which is used to level you out to allow you to be in a position to effectively treat your illness. if medication is needed longer then you should discuss it with your doctor. Be honest with them so that you can get the right help. good luck x
