I am on my 4 weeks of Prozac feeling still anxious and some twitching in hands and legs. I don't know if I should wait longer to see results and if this symptoms are normal. I feel anxious all day long and it peaks at night I don't get a deep sleep I keep waking up all night. Any advice

Hello
It can take a couple of months before your body adjusts to these kinds of meds and the side effects can feel worse before any benefits but if you are really struggling I would go back and see your Doctor there are other meds you can try that you may not feel as bad when taking

I just don't want to start all over if is going to be the same
Hello
I can understand that way of thinking but with these meds you just never know it can be a matter of just trying them out till you find one that suites you but see how you go on this one for a while and if not then it will leave you with no option but to maybe try another , so many have been in this position but they do eventually get the right one or settle on the one they are taking

I would suggest you keep trying with the Prozac. I've tried so many different drugs for depression /anxiety with hellish side effects but after starting Prozac I've felt much better . Anxiety hasn't been helped but I would say the depression is much better. It's a trial and error thing but it takes about two months to really kick in and it's so subtle you don't realise you are feeling a bit happier . Keep going and best of luck 🤗
