I have looked through this site before but I went back to it again last night it has really given me a little push to get out of the current anxiety hole I am in. I hope it helps someone on here :)

Thank you for the link to the articles - I found "start from where you are, not from where you want to be" useful because I am guilty of getting all caught up in feelings of "I am going to do this and that differently and I am going to take control of my life and not let anxiety/depression get control of me anymore". Hearing someone else say that when we expect quick changes that is where we are going wrong makes sense and that we need to accept we are where we are and we can get to where we want to be but it may take time.

Yes impatience is a big problem for me I just want things snapped back to normal but accepting that it will take time and it's a process is important to a successful recovery. I'm glad the articles helped you :)

I sometimes think too much time has passed and will things ever work out for me but I have also read that it can take some people years before they figure things out. That is definitely the case for me and I am still figuring stuff out. I think It's being patient that's important to recovery like you say.

How long has it been for you? I'm close to 2 years now

Many many years - like since I was a young teenager but sometimes I have a breakthrough and think I'm better now - but have fallen off the horse again recently so I am trying to keep things in perspective and get off the emotional rollercoaster for good. It's hard but I find reading various books that touch on things like human psychology, meditation techniques and various online resources help. Never giving up hope is key and planning is good.
