I am really getting to my wits end on my symptoms. Often at night I wake up in almost a panick as I do not feel well. I do suffer from IBS but over the last few months my symptoms gotten worse and it wakes me up at night. I think it's due to my stomach cramps however then my anxiety starts as I don't fully understand what is happening. I have had an ECG and blood tests and all has been fine. Has anyone else experienced this ?

You are not the only one that feels this way. Anxiety makes you hurt everywhere and think negative as if you were dying. I also have IBS and anxiety can make you have physical symptoms and health problems. I hate it too. I wish you the best of luck and hope you try yoga. Yoga will teach you how to breathe right and stretch right, and feel better. I also take vitamin c everyday and that helps my stomach issues sometimes. Ask your doc to give you something for the IBS or Anxiety or both for that matter. Good luck.....
Try Mylanta, it tends to help me. Good luck! Hope you feel better...
I also suffer from IBS, not quite sure why, but it must be linked to anxiety and trauma. I drink fennel, peppermint and ginger tea and find it helps. Also yoghurt.
Try not to eat too late at night (I am guilty of this) and stay away from beans, nuts, broccoli, cauliflower and other such "flatulent foods".
If you eat small meals more frequently your stomach has more time to process stuff and doesn't get so angry. Big heavy meals are its worst enemy.
And if you are on any medication that is also hard on your stomach. Always take antidepressants with meals or a huge dollop of yoghurt.
And drink as much water as you can.
None of this is professional advice, it's just what I do from experience because IBS is the worst it's uncomfortable and can be embarrassing!
