You need to tell your Doctor before changing your dosage

Was you aware that there are many meds for anxiety ? The Doctor can try you on different ones. Also you cannot beat it by meds alone see my other posts how I beat it. Kevin

You should try klonopin, it's like a longer lasting Xanax for all day, though it takes a little longer to kick in

I agree with Kevin, you need to practice deep breathing too. It really is not for us to say up the dosage. I see you have a young baby, could you not take him/her out for a long walk in the pram? Getting outside in the fresh air would do you both good. You need to conquer this anxiety otherwise you could pass this on to the baby. Follow Kevin's advice and you will soon be yourself again😊😊👍👍

Yeah i do walks and jogs i workout and love breathing exercises. I just get very bad anxiety and get anxious for everything. And The 0.5mg arent doing it unless i take 2 at once i might need my dose increased.

In short the answer to your question is yes you can take more, you can safely increase your dose. If you do, I would suggest that you don't drive, at least until you have seen how you react to the increased dose. I have taken up to 12 mgs of Xanax before and I was ok. I really wouldn't recommend such a high dose to anyone. I only took that very high dose once, because I was riddled with anxiety and very depressed too and I just wanted oblivion. I staggered about and eventually fell on a bed and slept for 14 hours.

My advice is that from my own experience you should be careful with Xanax. Not because it is likely to kill you, but because it is so easy to wish to increase the dose. It is very easy to become addicted to Xanax and it can be horrendous to wean yourself off because the panic comes back multiplied by ten.

Someone mentioned that there are other meds for anxiety. I would speak to my doctor about maybe trying something different.

I hope your anxiety gets better, I know what a nightmare it can be to live with.

Best wishes

Jack
