Hi jodz, I get this a lot, depending on my symptoms they vary on what I think is wrong with me/going to happen. I think it's because we're so focused on it, even when we think we're not, it's constantly in the back of our minds, and it usually plays games when we're less busy, like sitting watching the tv or whatever. Try and keep yourself occupied, when you do get any thoughts, just tell yourself it's the anxiety and nothing bads going to happen. Take some deep breaths and concentrate on whatever it is your doing at that moment. Bring yourself back to the moment, what you can see around you, smell, touch etc.
It's just crap . I was at a meeting today in a room with 9 other people and I look at each and every now and again I know I'm checking them for anything that I think may cause them to just drop to the ground, pass out , not breathing right arrrrr this does my head in . Do you do this ?? It just does not seem right why I would do this ??
I have to take a horse tomorrow to a trainer and I'm sitting here thinking what if this happens , what if that happens . I get so worked up the night before I have to drive any distance and especially towing a float . I can think about the trip a week before . Over and over analyse it constantly π‘
I get worked up in front of a lot of people. I also hate travelling, get really worked up days before. I really want to do things and go out etc but it's so difficult sometimes. I'm currently seeing a cbt therapist, I have in the past before also. Have you ever thought about therapy? X
