I have been suffering with abdominal pain for a few months now. I apparently have Gallstones but my doctor has given me a CT scan but assures me they are not the root of my problem. Has anyone else had abdominal/ digestive pains as part of their anxiety? I jump between being constipated to diarrhea and not much in between. I also get a unusual amount of gas. I try to drink plenty of water, eat a balanced diet but still struggle. I have been having episodes of panic, anxiety around my health but wondered if anyone else suffers with these issues.

Abdominal pain and anxiety.
suggest you look at checklist of symptoms of B12 deficiency that you can find here
pernicious-anaemia-society....
If other things ring bells then ask your GP to do a test for B12 but don't take normal as meaning normal - the ranges are set on averages but there is a huge amount of variation in the way people process B12 and significant numbers of people are symptomatic in the normal range.
General cause is an absorption problem rather than lack of B12 in your diet though diet is a possibility if you are a strict vegan or eat little or no meat/fish/dairy
I think the doctor should be doing something about your gallstones!
Digestive issues are part of anxiety so is constipation and diarrhoea. Gall stones are very very painful and you can get shoulder tip pain, abdominal pain, back pain, vomiting, passing out and other symptoms from gall stones. I get a lot of gas as well and they say it's from anxiety due to having digestive issues. Hope that helps.
I've been having issues with my digestive system for about eight months ( I think it was where my anxiety started) so many unexplained symptoms. I have had all of the things you mention but today managed to convince myself I had a kidney infection, which made me panic. I get bloated, have pains in my upper and lower back, across my shoulders it can be very destressing, especially when the doctor tells the gallstones are not big enough to cause me the issues i'm having. The gas is awful and gets trapped in various parts of my body. I don't trust myself to know what's real anymore, I have so many unexplained pains that I sometimes feel like I am going crazy. I have been tested for a B12 deficiency along with many other things, camera in my stomach but the only thing they found were Gallstones.
