Lately my anxiety has been jolting me awake just as I'm about to fall asleep it is such a disgusting feeling a few nights ago I only got 1 hour sleep because of this, anxiety has not given me much issues with sleep but this is terrible. It's like the anxiety is in my chest and stomach that wakes me.
Does this happen to anyone else?

This has happened to me so many times. Have you tried establishing a routine? For example, I like to have a good cup of tea (stress-relief tea I picked up) and read a book and shut off all my electronics. I also keep some stress-relief lotion next to my bed that I smell right before I try and shut off the lights. It seems to help calm me!
I like the relaxation apps on my phone. I have noticed that the simple fact of relaxing can trigger my panic though. This is such a difficult thing to deal with. The one thing to help anxiety is to relax but relaxing for me triggers anxiety.
Haha yes happened to me like 2 konths before . Did some anti depressants . Iam all fine now . Was so worried abt i would never sleep lol now its a joke for me .. i do get intrusive memory or thot from a childhood these days . Hope this goes away as well . Trying to cope with anxiety is a pure battle .. hang in there . Pm me if u need any help
Happens to me all the time, in the beginning was concerned but now I see it as a positive sign that sleep is just around the corner as that is what it is that brief moment between conciousness and asleep that little edge that you feel you are falling off and jolt awake. I can do it in the middle of the night must be between sleep patterns, I literally just laugh now and back to sleep I go. Trick is not to fear it and it wont happen as much.
