I cant sleep

So for the past few weeks I've been unable to get more than an hour or two of sleep at night but I've been sleeping during the day which is fine for now but for some reason when I'm sleeping ive had this repetitive dream and it's not repetitive so much as continuous and it's very scary and i always feel that I'm going to die and then i wake up and i can't move and I'm feeling dead and I'm having anxiety attacks while I'm still in my sleep paralysis and I'm not sure if this is normal but if it is how do i make it stop?

Don't know whether you've come across sleep hygiene?? No screens,TV or phone iPad etc for at least one hour before you try to settle to sleep. Warm bath or shower. Warm drink. No caffeine after 6 pm. That's no cola chocolate, coffee or tea unless de caff. Aim for same bedtime each night. No TVin the bedroom. Leave your phone off or in another room.

If not asleep in one hour. Get up and do some job that you dislike or a really boring one. If you are panicky, concentrate on breathing . Don't try to change it just concentrate on it. Or try reading a book or magazine article backwards one word at a time. When you are really bored go back to bed. Try to still get up at normal time and continue as usual during the day or your time clock will reset.

I hate being awake at night but everything passes

MY DOCTOR SAID TO TAKE FISH OIL FOR MY SLEEP FOR ME IT WORKS TO A POINT BUT I HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS

If you sleep during the day for SURE you will have problems sleeping at night. Your rythm is out of whack. Your body runs on an internal clock and certain important body functions happen at certain times. When you sleep during the day you severely disrupt these functions. You may take 20 minutes nap during the day but that's all if you want to sleep at night.
