Hi guys,
Just seeing if anyone has had some good effects from having hypnosis done for anxiety & panic attacks. If so, is it worth me trying it?
Thanks X
Hi guys,

YES! try to be open to it, it helps if you have some experience with meditation. It's like a cross between meditation and therapy. It wasn't what I expected but It was wonderful and enlightening. I got a lot more out of it than I got out of talk therapy, and I like talk therapy a lot but this was even more effective. I would do SO much hypnosis if I could afford it, there's so much I want to explore.
Why did you decide to go historical?
I have limited anxiety treatment options, my body hates all the medications. I had made great strides with CBT but my intellect and conscious mind gets in my way, Hypnosis bypasses SO much of that. I wanted to know myself, not who I thought I was.
I wish I had tried it earlier, it was my "last resort", but then again. I may not have been ready for it years earlier, I was to angry about having anxiety and issues in the first place.
Turns out though that my "anxiety" is "not in my head", but the hypnosis still helped me deal!
I am actually in contact with hypnotise currently as I want to go for hypnotherapy. He said that he can get to my root causing al these anxiety and panic with one session. They sure are expensive for 1 session but if this can work I really want to try. They are just so booked up struggling to get an appointment. I have only heard good things regarding the matter.
Ok cool, let me know how you get on it's definitely worth a shot. I've downloaded a few anxiety hypnosis apps & they seem to work good so I can only imagine how well it works in person. x
I have tried to to teach me to relax and it was helpful. also what have you got to lose. Try reading minding the body mending the mind.
I am a psychologist who has specialised in hypnotherapy for 45 years and run a school of hypnosis in London.
Hypnotherapy for anxiety or panic attacks is worth a try.The problem is it can cost a lot of money.Apart from this drawback the effects of hypnotherapy are 100% individual, unfortunately. So one person can have all the hypnotherapy in the world and zero improvement, another can be permanently cured in one session.
There are short hypnotic tests that can be done that give a strong indication of a persons degree of response, but these normally have to be performed by an advanced hypnotherapist,so you are still stuck with 'suck it and see'.
If you have N.L.P. or direct suggestion or guided visualisation hypnotherapy, the advantage of these most common types is that they are built on deep relaxation and positive thoughts,so it is very difficult to see what harm they could do,especially with anxiety. So its rather like someone having back pain and saying will a chiropractor or osteopath help,no one can say yes or no,but only giving it a go will answer for sure.
Yes I have. Brilliant effect! Be honest, don't hold back, I cried and then relaxed.
Went home, tired, thirsty, and boom! The 'particular issue' was sorted!!!
