I just got offered a job,but i have already excepted another one. I can't find the courage to call the company back. Everytime i call them i go into immidiate anxiety and i have to hang up before they even answer their phone.

Maybe that means you should stay with your original commitment. Why are you considering another offer? Something is telling you not to make that call, listen to yourself. You will have peace when you do the right thing . Unless you have good reason , better pay, better hours, commute time? Pray about it and ask for God's guidance. Ask for His Will and He will open the right door . 🙏🏻🙏🏻

just me you dont owe the company anything as you havent started yet ! just sit down and write down on a peace of paper the pros and cons of each job and in doing so you maybe get the right reason to go to the other job ! if youve definateley got the first job take it if the other job doesnt materialised good luck !

what would the wise man do.....probably choose the job he feels would suit him and that he would look forward to doing....

Money isn't everything.....contentment is more important....

Try to put your anxiety about calling the company aside for now & find a quiet safe space, close your eyes and imagine yourself getting ready in a morning to go to the first job, what are you wearing, how is your journey, what are you feeling - when you get there what is it like, where is it going in future? - then do the same with the other job. Hopefully climbing into each job in this way has helped you find some resolution about which will suit you best and you'll be happy to mkae the call when you're ready.

Good Luck in getting two job offers - feel proud in that :)

Just email them and say thank you but something more suitable has come up. Email is the best way if you can't face talking on the phone. Please don't worry about this - it's just not important. Very pleased you have a job and one that you want. Good luck and stop worrying!!

Hi there,

Don't beat yourself up to much about this job offer, I would be more inclined to weigh up the pro's and con's of each job like the salary, hours of work, location, and of course what the company can offer you in long term aspects, if you stay with them for a long time. Hope this helps you and good luck.

Hi: You may have accepted the job BUT you have not started yet or been trained.

Call them, AFTER HOURS, and leave a sincere message of regrets for having to

turn down their offer. Believe me, they will appreciate hearing from you now

than 2 weeks into the job. Good Luck. I understand your anxiety. It will be okay.

As an employer I've had people accept jobs and never show up. I assume they got another better offer. Ultimately I don't remember any of their names so don't worry about it. Go with what is the best job for you and remember money isn't everything especially if you have anxiety. Go with the best environment.

I would echo Lavelock's advice. I got all anxious about starting a job a few months back, did I really want it, was I wasting their time, I don't know it it's right etc. They released me after a couple of months (it wasn't guaranteed past the standard 3 months). I realised that there is no room for sentiment in business and I don't suppose they felt that awful about letting me go. The courtesy of a phone call after hours as advised will probably go a long way, and might make you feel better. As Lavelock says, a few months down the line they may forget about you - and possibly if you are at least civil there may be an opening a year down the road. Try not to be too anxious.

If you don't want the job just call them up and say you got another with a better salary. Thank them for everything. If you don't do it you will look bad. Just do it and you will feel better. Good Luck!
