Indigestion, sore throat, afraid to sleep

Hello, everyone. These past two weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions and fears. I've been afraid of dying every single night before I drift to sleep. Some nights I got little to no sleep. This is obviously wearing on me, and I really need to get some rest. Last night I woke up around 4:30 with a burning stomach and throat. Is this my acid reflux? I waited for the burning to calm down, and then finally got back to sleep. My stomach burns today as well though. I'm so afraid that there is something serious wrong. If this were not bad enough, I can also see little white spots on the sides towards the back of my mouth. I'm afraid it is strep throat. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, but I fear that I will not even be able to sleep tonight. I also made the mistake of reading an article about instances in which people die of strep throat. I'm just a bundle of nerves right now... Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
