Does anyone else have a weird feeling where they will just be sitting around and suddenly you're body just feels too calm . I'm not used to this feeling and it makes me think that something is wrong. Is that common with anxiety? Also does anyone get migraines at night? Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Dear Kate -

Evidently you have yourself talked into the idea that you should feel some degree of anxiety all the time. It may be difficult, but you need to realize that there are times when it is OK to feel NO anxiety or apprehension. When you feel at ease and have no apprehension, take a deep breath and learn to enjoy those times.

Getting rid of those unwarranted feelings of apprehension won't happen right away, but with patience and practice, you should see an improvement.

If your feelings of apprehension persist, you might consider getting some

professional help.

I hope you will keep us posted by giving us updates through this Internet site !

I wish you good luck as you work through these feelings.

Thank you for the feedback. I think you are right. I go see my therapist once a week and I told him about this concern of mine.

I have the first thing . It's like things aren't cool unless I'm anxious 24/7. I hate it. Sometimes I get distracted & that works great . Try distracting yourself & staying busy

The body and mind are used to being in flight or fight and now that I'm getting my physical health issues managed(asthma and gerd) I feel like my body is a lot more calm.

Exactly..it's like I have OCD with this . I've gotten used to be anxious 24/7. But that's great , that your other health issues are being managed . 💞

I understand the feeling. It's a work in progress. I got off all of my medications earlier this week. I'm only taking a steroidal inhaler for asthma and vitamins =)

I remember the first day I had where I didn't experience any feelings of impending doom, racing brain anxiety, or panic attacks. I'm like 'something is different." I felt it was a sign that all the work I put into managing is paying off. Rejoice!!! I understand your concern though.... It is like giving up sugar, or chocolate. Old habits are sometimes hard to break. Sending blessings xo

Yes they certainly are hard to break! The more that you become mindful of your feelings, breathing and thoughts, the easier getting relief becomes.

Also, something that has been helping me this entire week is changing the way I breathe. It really does work. Instead of breathing with your chest, I am breathing with my diaphragm.

Katie, if you try "belly" breathing it will work even better. It's the best way to calm your mind and body. xx

Yep, breathing into your abdomen gives your diaphragm more room to move down and let your lower lungs expand. I discovered today how much of a difference that makes! Breathing into my chest definitely increases feelings of shortness of breath and tightness.

Yes. Sometimes I'm so used to feeling my heartbeat that when I can't feel it i feel like it has stopped which freaks me out. Anxiety plays games with us. It doesn't like us to feel secure in any situation.

Migraines can be hormone or liver related. It doesn't mean you have a diseased liver, it just means something is not agreeing with you that you're eating. They can also be caused by constant tension, especially if you're tense during the day. The neck and shoulder muscles can tense up causing the migraine.

I,m 61 so it not hormones. This just confirms my fears. This is worse than googling.
