I suffer from ocd and I personally find the only thing that showed down my thoughts was prozac . I hate medication but it has helped my intrusive thoughts and the panic that follows them . Cognitive behaviour therapy has helped a bit but with ocd I find it makes me anayze even more .I found out I had it when I was 11 but it got out of Control this year . I was getting obsessive agressive thoughts that terrified the shit out of me . Convinced myself i must be some kind of horrible person . I also obsess that if i think it it will happen or must be true . I remind myself hourly . Their just thoughts their not who I am .. hope that helps and I can sympathize with you . Take care

Mine was I dropped a screw down the back of my kitchen worktop, and something in my head said you better get that or something bad will happen. So there I was taking work top off cupboard out found the screw put everything back. It escalated from there I was doing daily rituals like counting steps, bleaching worktops, washing pots 5times on 1side five times on the other repeating them until my mind told me ok you done that . I finally went to the doctor and he said I had it, still do after 35 years, I hope you don't have it wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Anytime you need to ask anything don't hesitate xx I'm always on xxmandy
