Should I take meds

I'm new to anxiety and it's making my life hell, finding it hard to cope with the constant dizziness, racing thoughts, tremors, constant fear the list goes on. The doctor prescribed me citalopram and I took them for two days and they just intensified everything , should I stick with them and hope the side affects pass!

I'm also on 10mg of cliptrapram n the first week was brill on them also on amatyptlyine so the two combined boosted me you can get side affects but they tend to go after a few days n remember things always get worse before they get better

God I do wish I could take my own advise lol

I'm thinking of going back to docs to up one of them as my headaches av come back n they av seemed to have stopped working but gonna try n muddle through first

It will eventually ease the symptoms everything n remember a good day is a good day stay positive

If you can stick to them, try. I personally couldn't but I really wish I could as maybe I would have relief this way I'm just battling on my own.

I wish you all the best :)

Oh god tough question.. My panic/anxiety started in April... Since I've been on Prozac and Zoloft with I stopped due to side effects.. I've tried all natural pills and exercise but I'm finding the dizziness and confusion feeling as if I'm going crazy more overwhelming now...they say the side effects will pass.. I think I'm going to get back on and once I'm balanced out then pick up more exercising, walking and changing my eating habits which is suppose to be good for anxiety..

Hi, I'm on 10 mg of cit, try and stick with it . The side effects arnt nice in the first weeks but it does ease , I've taken these several times over the years and I always think oh god have I done the right thing,,, then after a few weeks i know I have, some of the side effects are similar to the anxiety and may even agitate it initially . Just keep telling yourself it will get better. All the best.

Yes, I haven't taken this med before but i have been told side affects will go away and it takes a while, about a month, for your body to adjust and you should start feeling better. That being said, after you have given this med a chance and you still have problems, tell your doctor and maybe another med will work better for you

Hi anxiety is making my life totally. He'll keep thinking not breathing properly and suffocating was on 10 ml of citrol same as citrapram couldn't take the side effects there fear was worst my hole body felt funny I wish the he'll I could stick on them bur couldn't try to fight on my own not doing to good so if you can stick the sideeffects keep going it will ease and as people say it has to get worst before it gets better good luck

My view is that you have to exaust the natural way to fight anxiety. Exercise diet counceling vits and suppliments. Before going chemical, i would never use pills until the 6th month of anxiety. I know that sounds daunting but you will get better. I hate my anxiety but I make progress every day so can you.

Stick with them, take about a month to get full effect, could change your life and make it easier....
