Valium ? : Did anyone try diazapan for... - Anxiety Support
Valium ?
Vallium needs to be taken over a three week period for you to get any real benefit from them So personally you will need to take them for a longer period. In the past I took then over an extended period. and I found them very addictive.
So keep taking the tablets

Hello
Personally I have taken Diazepam & find they work really quick & I have never had to wait several weeks for them to work but just an hour or so
Dentists if you are really nervous will sometimes prescribe just as a one of Diazepam before treatment so they must think they work quick to
However I have to agree they can be addictive if taken too often so it is something you would have to be aware of but a lot of Doctors won't even prescribe them & if they do usually only a few for temporary use
Talk to your doctor they will advise you on what will be best for you x
Thank you for your advise . My doctor wanted me to go on antidepressants which I didint agree. I don't have a lot of faith in gp doctors. I never took any medicine for anxiety but conciderating my options . I can cope with anxiety but panic attacks are awful. I would only want it to take Valium when I get atatck as I don't need to take medicine every day as I cope daily without . My friend said he takes Valium only when he gets attacks and it works for him. Of course I am worried to take medicine but I don't want to suffer any more if they is an option.
I totally understand how you are feeling , you would still have to see your Doctor to prescribe them , I would never get them from any where else if offered other than my GP but you could make an appointment , tell them just how you feel & what you would like to try ...Good Luck x
Hello iv tried Valium before, my gp only prescribed it when I was that bad I couldn't move off the floor for fear and anxiety, this lasted 2 weeks and in 15 years I've had maybe 3 or 4 times like this and the rest of the time a general anxiety disorder, I and a lot of people are scared of Valium, you think one small tablet is going to zonk you out it doesn't in fact it only took a slight edge off mine, if I couldn't sleep on a night I'd take one and it did help with that, iv also got them from gp before a flight they dnt work then!!! If you take them up to 3 times a day for many days I'd suppose you may see improvement but I normally just took them when desperate, some gps dnt like prescribing them I was refused many time however mine friends gp put her on them for year she came off them no problem, I think if someone somewhere made a tablet we could take to make us instantly calm we would all take it straight away but other than heavy sedation I dnt think a tablet exists, why dnt you try other meds your dr offers you, dnt just go with the first choice either give them a try for a few months if they dnt work go back and ask for something different but been in this situation now for 15 years your mind alone has a lot to do with panicking meds May mask some symtoms for a while but you need more than that, please look into other advice on how to cope through a attack cbt?? good luck Xxxxx
Totally agree with tigger - only take it when very stressed, I don't want to be knocked out - works for me.
I've been on valium for about 4 months now and it definitely helps. When I am having a panick attack I take one tablet and it calms me down and I snap right back normal. I've never experienced any adverse side effects. They are not addicting if you take them the right way. Unfortunately it's hard to get prescribed which makes the Internet the only option of obtaining. I bought my pills from generic-meds-store.com and it is real stuff and not fake like it's sold many times.... Totally satisfied !
