Heart palpitations, is it anxiety?

Hi, I started having heart palpitations on Friday afternoon, I've always had them out of the blue before but it's just passed. These ones just seemed to carry on, and I've been having them every day since, sometimes they come and last half an hour and then go. It feels like my heart is weak and struggling to beat, sometimes I can feel it beat in my chest like 5 or 6 times in a row. It feels horrible and I can't stop worrying. I've been to the doctors and had an Ecg and he said there is nothing wrong, it's probably an ectopic beat. I just wondered why it's come On so suddenly. I don't drink, smoke take drugs or too much caffeine. Is it the anxiety catching up with me? Please help I can't go on like this.

Funny really

We knew someone who had a heart attack, after the operation He complained he could hear and feel His heart beating.

Do not worry about it if you have had an ECG and that proved ok, just accept that you are fortunate, at least you know you are well and truly alive.

I am nearly sixty five and I had a well man/pensioner check whatever they want to call it.

All was ok and of course still here I think.

Heart palpation is what I've been struggling with for the last 6 months keeps me awake at night its horrible. Waiting for test results. Feel I can't go on like this either.
