Anyone had loss of appetite with anxiety? I've only had one small meal today and Im not hungry at all it's worrying me, can anyone relate to this?

Hi! Yes I'm currently in the same situation as you:( I don't feel hungry at all but I know I have to eat which is hard cause I know this isn't me.. I could go all day without eating when my anxiety is high. Suck to feel this way. Hope you feel better! Take care!

Hi,

Yea ive had loss of apetite on several occasions, I tend to find it comes back almost immediately after calming down, or when your body really needs food.

I can barely manage a mouthful when I'm at my worst..can't stop heaving. Hope your ok x

Yes, it happens. Then all of the sudden your starving. Hang in there your not the only one.

I'm exactly the same, I want and know I should eat but just can't. Anxiety makes me heave and feel really sick. I was prescribed supplement drinks "fortisip" Ask you doctor about these, when I cant eat I can mange one of these. Good luck x

Yeah, I've had this before. I lost weight because of it. I was being sick in the morning if I had breakfast and I just didn't have the motivation to eat. That was a really stressful period in my life and I was constantly anxious.

Try not to let it make you so worried. It's a catch-22 because worrying about it will make your anxiety worse and the whole thing may proliferate. Are you on medication for your anxiety? I feel they helped me a lot.

yep, me too. But I've come out the other side now. I lost about 5kg over the summer from stress. I could drink liquid, but food made me feel sick. I then went through a phase of eating because I knew I had to, but wasn't really interested in it. I'm nearly back to normal now (but so much thinner!).

Hang in there, do things to reduce your stress. Go out for a brisk walk - you may feel well enough to eat something when you get back. Try and eat a little fruit/veg so you feel like you've done something healthy. Meditate (it's helped me). See your doctor to see what help is available to manage your stress.

I lost 20 lbs during an attack, but I worried about my 12 yrs old son if anything happens to me, no one would taking care of him. Then, I started Googling nutrition and meditation. I started to eat healthier, reducing stress. The need to be healthy to support my son keeps me going. Now, I'm eating small portions, easy digest foods through out the day, basically I am no longer consuming alcohol, caffeine, low sugar diet.

Lol not me. Sometimes yes but mostly i feel like eating everything i shouldnt so no weight loss at all .

When I have an anxiety attack I can't eat. Everyone reacts different. I think if I ate i would vomit. So its not worth.. I try and drink water and as soon as it gets better I'll eat or at least try to.

Yes that was me until i went from 125 pounds and dropped down fast to 98 pounds my anxiety was at its worst i was hospitalized because since i wasnt eating i started feeling dizzy and my tachychardia came back during my hospital stay they packed me back up with vitamins and stuff it was horrible the potassium hurts thru the iv and the iron gets u constipated and i also had to get pure sugar injected thru the iv they gave me a bunch of fluids so now when my anxiety starts to act up and i dont feel like eating i just remeber the painfulness i felt n i make my self eat atleast a chocalate bar and water water is so important for our bodys hope my expirience helps

I've been trying to stuff my face full of things today, I've managed 2 baby size slices of pizza, lamb burger and a few chips and 3 spoon Fulls of chocolate gateau, that's biggest I've eaten in a week I'm proud of myself, plus I've been keeping my fluids up too xx

Omg thast goid see its just on us telling our brains we can do it some days will be hard i know i suffer from health axiety some weeks are good some not to good for me this has been a bad one but always remeber even if you dont wanna eat atleast keep drinking water it helps alot

Yes" I lost over maybe 25 or 30 lbs I'm starting to eat! I'm not going to let anxiety" take control of me because I been eating small portions not enough" to make me feel better" hope everything! Is good with you now
