I'm in work and ive suddenly started to feel anxious. This is all new to me these moments have only just begun happening. There is absolutely no reason for me to be feeling anxious right now and to be honest im probably made myself more anxious by wondering why I'm anxious when i shouldnt be. Sorry for the ramble I just dont know what to do :(

Morning Loki89.

Welcome to our little community. We all have moments when we are anxious for no reason but if it continues I would go and have a word with your doctor. You are quite right about making yourself more anxious, try deep slow breathing or some thing to take your mind off it.I hope this helps.

Hi Loki ands welcome. That's typical of anxiety the more you think about it the worse it gets.I agree with Kenny and mimi about the deep breathing,it does help.Hope your feeling better soon xxx

hi loki, welcome to the site, you can loads of distraction cds on amazon, they work quite well, sometimes gentle exercise as well, please keep posting. jasper

Hi Loki,

Welcome to the site.

Unfortunately anxiety is a cycle. Once you enter it, breaking out can become very difficult. Breathing techniques are good also as mentioned distraction can help. My anxiety becomes much worse when I have nothing to do so I have to keep myself active constantly, which is great when you have a low attention span like me. Also once you become engrossed everything else takes a step back.

Also are you really that mischievous.

Have you studied Norse mythology?

I have always found it interesting.

Or like the odd one or two only discovered him from Marvel Comics?

Sorry I came to know him through the comics. I'm afraid I'm not the intellect you might have hoped ;)

Have u tried mindfulness? I bought a book on it by ruby wax and it really helps me with my feelings of anxiety, it gets u to focus on wat is happening right now, for example if u pick a sense, such as sight, touch, sound, an focus on it, I use touch an focus on wat I can feel at that time, such as last night in bed I woke up an could feel my anxiety building so I focus purely on how the covers felt on my skin, how my pillow felt on my cheek, any thoughts that pop into ur head just bring them back to focusing on that sense, I no it sounds a bit daft but it really helps me an the anxiety starts to subside an I calm down xxx
