For me It's my 13 year old daughter, 20 year old son and partner of 22 years. Also when I am feeling down the very friendly people on this site have given me some positive and helpful advice when I have really needed it. darkangel xx
Hi darkangel, loving families always seem to make it better! Sometimes mine are the only thing that make sense
Warmest wishes

Hi Eva
Well I could relate to the washing I have OCD & part of my OCD is focused on washing & have to admit even though its out of hand there is nothing like the smell of clean washing as well as seeing it all hung up nice & ironed !
I miss that as well & can understand why you like it so much the smell of your son , when mine were babies I used to love that smell when they were all bathed & smelling of baby products & then when you are cuddling them & the warmth & the smell was gorgeous !
I get through the day by keeping myself busy in the house , I like a routine which is a slight problem as I dont cope when with anything that comes in my way & throws me of my routine
I like seeing my family happy & trying to help when I can

Hi whywhy, you made me smile again mine is so out of hand I go to the cash and carry for industrial size liquid! because I wasn't able to buy shares in fairy lol. Judith my therapist says there is no point in even trying to touch it as it brings me so much comfort and I wholeheartedly agree! You can't beat the smell of snuggly warm babies and snuggly warm babies in clean clothes.......heaven it's nice to know we all take comfort in the little things.
Warmest wishes

We seem to have a lot in common
Have to admit though it is the same for me & has been for years I get so much pleasure out of it to !
There are just 3 of us now yet my washer is on all day !
I know my OCD needs addressing but that is the one thing I don't think anyone will get me to let go of & I don't want them to either !
Hope you have a lovely day

Hi jasper, the most rewarding job in the world I think! I feel very lucky to not have to work (I am a kept woman my partner supports us and that means I am able to stay at home and care for my family love love love it!
Looking to the future.. in March I will be a Grandma for the first time... exciting.
Coffee with friends.
And, most definately this site which has helped me so much. Just reading and , sometimes , commenting to people who feel just the same as I do.... knowing I am not alone with my anxiety.
Clean washing is one of my biggest satisfactions too! My friends make fun of me because I'm only 19 but I'm practically a housewife. Nothing beats fresh bed sheets in my opinion.
When I'm having a rough time I also love baking. Sometimes I'll keep what I bake but other times I'll put it in a nice pretty box or packet & give it to a friend. It's really satisfying to know that a bit of joy has come to someone else as a result of one of my crappy days!
Hi Liz, some wonderful things to get you through the day Children seem to make everything a little lighter and put smiles on a lot of faces, for me I think their innocence is beautiful. They see the world in a way we have forgotten
