HI x Im here just chat away take your mind off it or breathe in through your nose slowly counting to 5 then hold for 2 seconds then out fast for 6 x count cars passing or sing a song distraction is good x re read this post a hundred times if you need to xx Or reply im here xx Donver

No problem I know you are feeling very scared but try to keep calm and remember they will pass x They will usually peak and begin to calm but if you keep thinking the worst they will spike so try to breathe slowly and calm x You are not insane as if you are I am Im not quite ready for the nut house yet lol xx
I'm trying so hard, I haven't had a FULL blown one like this for over 7 months. Im lying here and each time I think im okay it starts again and I feel crazy and that I have lost my mind! and panic and panic and panic!! My head feels so overwhelmed and like this is never going to end!!! I just feel like I cant handle this!!! xx
I know you are trying but honest it will pass x try to not think of it x distract yourself but writing it down exactly how you feel or talking to someone if someone is in the house x It will come and go in waves but the calmer you become the less it will bother you x Its good thats its the first in months but remember we all have set backs and to have one now is a small blip x You have not lost your mind we all suffer and we can all understand x It will end x You must try to take control by simply breathing and not fighting it then it will pass x

You do really well messaging as I shake so much when I am having a panic attack my hands wont stay still long enough to write so well done getting your post on here
Take deep breaths in & slowly let them out , make sure there is some air in the room
Try & tell yourself you know what this is & it wont harm you , keep doing this & it will slowly pass
How is your counselling going hun , is it helping ?

I have just been shaking so hard too whywhy!!!!! It's horrible!!! I just cant believe a feeling so familiar can do so much damage when it peaks again. I can't stop crying. I don't know what to do!!!!!
No counselling as of yet.... these waiting lists are so so long! xxx
Oh Rose , I thought you were near the top was it 3 or something & that was months ago , what they playing at !!!
Maybe you should see your GP again let them know how you are suffering & need help now

You need to pursue with your GP about this counselling , I would as soon as you can , tell them things are getting no better & get some help

I have tried why why but they say that it's out of their hands and all I can do I wait. So here I am waiting...... It all started because of a extremely vivid nightmare I couldn't wake up from in the dream and thus I thought it was real. So I can understand why I am having one which is the only thing making this easier.

Hi big guy it has eased but I feel it may peak again soon. I had a terrible nightmare that triggered it. My other half was watching the new hobbit and it is full of screams and they infiltrated their way into my dreams. And I couldn't wake myself up! Then I woke up and bam here comes the adrenaline and the attack and the absolute terror. How are you from yours this morning and what symptoms do you suffer from the most?

It may help if you write down how your attacks feel when they start & how it leaves you feeling , if you see it written down it might help to not fear it

No , I'm in the Middle East so three hours ahead of uk time and he wanted to watch it online in bed and I drifted off to sleep as I was so tired xxxx
Well last year I had a break down and had a long stretch of panic and very strong anxiety that has left me with GAD now I've been doing well avoiding nothing all year but still suffer withe anxiety and had no real panic attacks until today but feel better tonight
Mine was caused by stress I run a Drama School and work to hard I'm hoping that my anxiety levels will claim down now when I panic I just tell my self this can't hurt me and I do the breathing if you fear it it will come back but you are strong don't fight it ok you will be fine honest you I'm on here as well have you done any relaxation today it will help I'm here now so reply and we can chat some ok
Also I've been worried about it coming back and that's not helped ether
Same big guy!!! Always have a voice in my heads that reminds me of my panic attacks almost every minute of every day. Aww a drama group sounds great. I used to act until about a year ago and I'm 23. I also volunteer with drama groups that help people with special needs. I'm the same as you. It doesn't scare me so much now I know what it is when it comes knocking. I just tell myself I need to ride it out and I will be okay. I'm glad you feel better after yours this morning

How I got over panic attacks was when I had one I use to say " Is that all you can do ,come on give me more , I want more !! , and after a while they became less and less traumatic , now I ask for one , if I feel a tingle of one I say COME ON GIVE ME A PANIC ATTACK BRING IT ON I like them , really mean it , and they will melt away , I feel now I have complete control over them and when they know it they are lost .
There are so many of us who from time to time feel exactly as you do Roserose....
You are not crazy...just stressed....ask your doctor to check your blood pressure and your thyroid levels...it only has to be a bit out to make your heart beat faster than it normally does which can make you feel stressed even if you are not.
Get checked out and know that you are not alone.
