Can't believe: Had diarrhoea since mon and... - Anxiety Support
Can't believe
Morning Meg, that sounds horrid.do your chemist do a delivery service? You need to get some liquids down you also plain boiled white rice is good for calming the stomach down. I really do hope you feel better soon.
Take care xx
Couldnt feel much worse Hun,I'm gonna change my surgery after Xmas in so tired of struggling for an app all the time ,they have 9doctors,I don't understand it at all, they did n say they would get a prescription for me,either
Hi Meg.
You really need to take some fluids on board as you could be dehydrating, its shameful you cannot get an appointment in less than a week. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Kenny xxxx
I am doing kenny that's all iv had all week, whatI'm go a do is ring the out of hrs dc later ,I wouldn't normally do that but I'm desperate, receptionist dint believe me when's I' said id had no food since mon, that's y I'm going o change practice after Christmas is over
Don't blame you!!! I find it hard to believe the attitude of these petty tyrants in charge of the reception desk, It's amazing the changes that have taken place in my life time.if you were ill, the GP would visit you at home, maybe at 12.00 midnight, but he would come I can only believe it's the Doctor's are setting these policies, and hiding behind the nasty "receptionist"
I don't know about that Jamie, but I remember yrs ago u went to the docs when u were I'll ,u didn't need an app,and we only had 2docs inte practice ,but u were treated well and never left to get on with it they would help u if at all I distress like iv been all week ,but the out of hrs r very good, and if I'm not feeling better later il call them
Yes Meg you are right, there was only one marvelous \\\gp all on his own, no receptionist, don't know how he did it. As you said no appointment, just queued up. As a boy of about 8 I never knew where my place was in the queue, until some kindly lady would say, your next lad. He also took out teeth while you sat in a chair abut 50 year's old. I never used this service though, being a confirmed coward.
Season's greeting's Meg
Jamie
I remember our family Doctor was brilliant, used to come out and visit any time, my mum had me at home and he delivered me, that would be unheard of nowadays !!
Ye the ones we had when I was kid were brill, nowadays not so good ,look what's happened to me today
Hi meg
Sorry your stomach has been playing you up
I had a bad one for a few days & mine was anxiety , it always affects my stomach
I take Imodium when it gets really bad , I don't know if you could take it , it stops you keep going to the toilet , if you tell the chemist what other meds you take they would be able to tell you if it would be suitable for you
Also certain foods make mine worse which I have learnt over the years which they are & I avoid them when mine gets to bad , it helps a little bit
Hope you manage to see a GP
Love

This tummy thing seems to b affecting my asthma too,ths hiatus hernias has a lot to answer for
It might be that you are feeling anxious meg about your stomach making you feel your Asthma is worse , if you can distract yourself to keep your mind occupied , your tummy may settle down & your asthma may not feel as bad when you are more relaxed

U may b rightbev,it's hardto concenanything else at the mo,iv just took some gaviscon,to see if it helps, wat a week
I was reading something the other day when I was suffering with my stomach & it was saying how many people that suffer with anxiety suffer with their stomachs
It went on to say the more anxious we are we tense the stomach muscles & that is a cause for a lot of our digestive system not digesting food properly & then causing upset stomachs
It said if we can try even though we know when it's painful it can be easier said than done but to distract ourselves maybe watch a comedy or anything to try & take our minds of it the the muscles will relax & the problem will ease quicker
It did make some sense to me when I read it
Is there anything you like doing , reading , sewing ?
I always find reading a book if I am interested in it distracts me from my own thoughts

I must admit I wanted to stay home this Xmas day,coz i didn't wantto upset my daughter by saying no,so I was anxious before the day soto speak,1r2things cropped up while I was there ,but mytummywas in knots the whole time
Try and eat something and drink lots of fluids. If still have diahorrea tonight I suggest phoning the OOH's doctor. Your body can't cope with being dehydrated for long. Also have you any diaoralite rehydration sachets. They taste terrible but do work. I find downing in one is the best. Do you have any friends or family nearby who would be able to go to the chemist for you?
Hope you are feeling much better soon.
MR
Iv had something to eat,the diahorrea has abated for now I took 2co,codamol earlier seems to have helped a little,I have no family nearby to help unfortunately ,what a terrible week iv had ,
