I feel like ever since I moved up to this job I've lost any sense of who I am - or who I was. I don't think I could describe my personality any more... or maybe I just wouldn't like to because I've become such a miserable individual. Any got a solution or reasoning?
Is it possible to loose your sense of self... - Anxiety Support
Is it possible to loose your sense of self? As well as self worth?

Yes, It is not unusual would strongly advise getting support from your GP
Hi there, i ve missed a post i think so im not sure what job you ve moved into. I dont think you can loose your personality but i think stress, anxiety and change can cause it to get pushed to the side or hidden. Is it your job thats making you miserable hun or are you generally depressed?

Sorry - I've not said what my job is - I've not posted much on here. I am working as an activity instructor. I work with children. It shouldn't be making me miserable but I am. I work long hours and am always tired and I am living away from my family so this could be a factor. I don't want to give up on it- but I'm in a rut I don't seem able to escape.
dillm - what kind of support do you think I need to be getting from my GP?
Thanks for your replies
Hi, you should get from your gp as much or as little as you want/need. id make an appointment and tell them exactly how your feeling, dont worry about snotting and crying we all do it. When i went last week she gave me a depression and anxiety questionaire to do which was really helpful and stopped me babbling on, yours might have something like that too. Write down a few things to keep yourself focused and take it with you xxxxxxxx
Could you reduce your work hours possibly, or take some time off?
